Wilmington Man on Scooter Hit By Honda Car That Ran Red Light
I recently came across this article about a wreck in Wilmington, North Carolina. Apaprently, the wreck happened when a Honda car ran a red light and hit a gentlemen riding on a scooter.
The wreck happened Thursday night near the intersection of College Road and Oleander. The man on the scooter obviously came out of this wreck with injuries and was taken to the hospital.
This story continues an increasing trend in wrecks involving bicycles, mopeds, and motorcycles. Indeed, it seems these wrecks are occuring more frequently despite laws recognizing the right of bicycles, mopeds and motorcycles to use the road in the same manner as cars.
