Tractor-Trailer Driver Charged in Death of Raleigh Bicyclist
In a terrible story that is capturing national attention, the tractor-trailer driver involved in the wreck with Raleigh bicyclist Steven Jordan has now been charged with misdmeanor death by motor vehicle and failure to reduce speed to avoid a collision.
The tractor-trailer driver, Clifton Ellis, Jr., said he tried to pass Mr. Jordan but traffic kept him from changing lanes.
Mr. Jordan was the head of the mental health division of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
