Bicyclist Crescencio Colon Killed in Banner Elk, NC Bike Accident
A gentleman named Crescencio Colon was tragically killed on August 23 in a bicycle accident near Banner Elk, North Carolina.
The accident happened on N.C. Highway 194 and involved a pickup truck. According to reports, it may have been raining at the time of the accident. However, a bicyclist in North Carolina is entitled to use the roadways of our state regardless of weather conditions. It is not clear from the limited available information how the wreck happened but photos of the truck involved show damage to the driver side quarter panel. Hopefully, NCSHP investigators will perform an accident reconstruction to determine how this fatal accident happened.
