Highway 401 at approximately 6:45 pm.  According to available information, the bicyclist was hit by a 2001 Izuzu Rodeo.  Apparently, the driver of the Izuzu could not see the bicyclist because of high-beam headlights from an oncoming vehicle.

There are reports that the bicyclist was wearing dark clothing and that his bike had no reflectors.  These reports are not confirmed and an inspection of the bicycle should be conducted before reaching this conclusion.
