Winston-Salem Bicyclist Killed After Being Hit By SUV
A terrible wreck on Friday night has claimed the life of a Winston-Salem bicyclist.
The bicyclist, Katherine Shubert, was riding on Brookbank Road around 7:10 p.m. when she was apparently hit by a woman who claimed she was blinded by the sun.
According to police, Ms. Shubert was wearing a helmet and obeying the rules of the road when was she hit. At this time, it is unclear whether charges will be filed against the SUV driver.
