Four Bicyclists Injured in Johnston County, North Carolina Accident
A serious bicycle accident on Saturday afternoon in Johnston County, NC has resulted in injuries to four bicyclists including two that were seriously injured. The accident happened on Massengill Pond Road at around 2:45 pm when a woman hit the bicyclists from behind. Reports indicate that the bicyclists were following the appropriate rules of the road and were riding in a single-file line along the right side. Apparently, the woman said she did not see the bicyclists prior to hitting them.
North Carolina State Highway Patrol troopers are expected to charge the woman for the accident. The injured bicyclists include Christopher Graham, Joel Lawrence, Lynn Lashley, and Michael Dayton. Mr. Dayton and Ms. Lashley are apparently in critical condition.
