Bicyclist Lee Morel Killed in Willow Springs NC Bike Wreck
A gentleman named Lee Morel was tragically killed on Tuesday evening when he was hit by a pickup truck while riding his bicycle. The accident happened just before 7:00 pm on Dusty Winds Court near Mount Pleasant Church Road in Willow Springs, North Carolina.
According to available information, Mr. Morel was returning to his home after volunteering at the Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church as part of a barbecue planned for later this week.
It is not clear why the pickup did not avoid Mr. Morel on his bicycle and the accident remains under investigation.
